1. Radar
A new space for mapping what is coming, what is calling my attention, and what I hope to make room for in the near future.
At the beginning of the year, I wrote an article here about some goals I wanted to pursue regarding my cultural consumptions: watching more films, attending more live shows or listening to - and discovering - new music.
For years now, I’ve been writing down things I want to experience every month - films and books recommended by people whose taste I trust, upcoming albums, exhibitions, and art events yet to happen.
Now, with more concrete goals in mind, having those lists eventually helped me realize that turning this process into a regular series here could be a good idea - not only to work as a monthly cultural agenda and a radar for what’s coming up, but also as a way to visualize my wishes for the month and organize my life around them. Culture, after all, is a priority for me and I want to make sure there is room for it within my regular weekly schedules.
And, interestingly enough, March feels like the perfect moment to begin. I’m overwhelmed by the sheer number of special things happening: the Oscars, a flood of new album releases, incredible exhibitions and art all around me… Life is simply too short to experience all the art and culture I want - let alone fit it all into a single month.
Still, I’ll try!
Albums
I don’t know if it’s because I’ve been paying more attention to music lately, but is it normal for so many albums to be released not only in the same month but also on the same day?
“This Music May Contain Hope” | Raye - 27th march
I think I don’t need to justify why I am waiting so anxiously for this new album. I went to see Raye last month live - and I’ll leave the thoughts on how amazing the night was for later - where she sang some of the tracks of the upcoming album and… gosh! It is incredible how this woman never exhausts the possibilities that her voice gives her to play with, as well as an amazing creativity and exploration of so many genres and musical combinations.
“Full Circle” | Tom Misch - 27th March
After two crazy obsessive months with Tom Misch’s music, having an upcoming album on the horizon is such good news. I am very curious to see if the album goes in line with Geography: will he keep on playing with eclectic choices and also different genres or stick to a more homogenous line?
“Whatever’s Clever” | Charlie Puth - 27th March
What started as a curiosity of Charlie Puth’s whereabouts after a few years of hits such as ‘See you again’ and ‘Attention’, I rediscovered him, his instagram series “Professor Puth” and his music.
I didn’t remember how good it was - or maybe when he was more in the spotlight either my musical taste was not the same or his music was different. The truth is that I am very curious to listen to this upcoming album as I really love some of his releases.
Art and Exhibitions
Kunstenmuseum, The Hague: Having to go to The Hague to pick my new ID seems like the perfect excuse to check the exhibitions at Kunstenmuseum I have been seeing advertised in posters while I cycle.
Exhibition “Jan Dibbets 1966-1976 – Toward Another Photography” | H-Art - An new exhibition since I last went to H-Art, this is a show I am very curious to see
Warmoes Biënnale - Thanks to my internship, I knew about this new biennial that is going to take place in Amsterdam from Saturday, March 7 through Sunday, May 3, 2026. I am not sure yet if I am attending to the opening, but defenitely I will be very happy to visit some of their venues as their pitch promises a very interesting dinamic!
For two months, artists, entrepreneurs, cultural institutions, and residents will come together to show what lives in this neighborhood and how people from all over the world inspire one another here. The festival invites visitors to look differently at this much-discussed, criticized, yet also beloved part of the capital. With intimate and monumental artworks in sometimes unexpected locations, a diverse program of events, and the warm welcome of the neighborhood, the Warmoes Biennale presents in this first edition the ingredients that form the heart of Amsterdam.
Books
Véspera | Carla Madeira: That is my reading choice for the month, a book which I already started to read for various reasons: it comes from trustworthy recommedations, it is brasilian literature - something I love - and the plot that really made me curious :
Vedina, a woman traumatised by a broken marriage, decides, in a moment of madness, to abandon her son, to leave him behind. As soon as she does so, however, she immediately regrets it and returns to the place where she left the little boy. But she finds nothing there, neither the child nor any trace of his presence.
From then on, the story unfolds in two parts, taking the reader into a world of fears and shadows, of unfortunate addictions and controlling behaviour, delving into the depths of a violent and lost family, while seeking to answer an essential and ever-present question: how does one reach the limit?
Movies
Because this is the month of the Oscars and I just got a 4 months subscription to go as many time as I want to the cinema, I want to make the most of it and try to see as many nominated movies as possible before the ceremony. I already watched Hament, Sentimental Value and Marty Supreme - movies I am going to explore better in an upcoming article at CU.RE. So, until the 15th of March, I’d like to watch not all the movies (it would be an unrealistic promise) but at least some of the ones I’m more curious about:
- Bugonia | Yorgos Lanthimos
- Secret Agent | Kleber Mendonça Filho
- Train Dreams | Clint Bentley
- Sinners | Ryan Coogler

This is what is on my radar for this month of March. I think it is already a lot of culture and art to see. Hopefully, more things can be included but for now, this is my plan - already a bit late - and something that is really motivating me to feed my brain and heart with the art.
